Summary:
The Massey Cancer Center Run for the Cure is the 24th annual 5K run/walk. It will be hosted on the beautiful William & Mary Campus and all proceeds will be used by the Massey Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Cancer Center. The Center is the focal point for basic and clinical cancer research at Virginia Commonwealth University. It also provides diagnosis, clinical treatment, and prevention education.



Event Details:

ENTRY: Pre-registration: $20.00 individual Entry, $10.00 for William and Mary Students.

  $20.00 Team Entry/Runner, $10.00 for William and Mary Organization/Runner


               Race Day:          $25.00 Individual Entry, $15.00 for William and Mary Students.

                                         $25.00 Team Entry/Runner, $15 for William and Mary Organization/Runner

 

              *All entrants will receive a Run for the Cure t-shirt and entry into door prize raffles. 


PLEDGES: Each entrant is asked to help raise pledges to support the Massey Cancer Center. Awards will be given for the top individual and top team that raises the most for the cause. Team pledge totals will include entry fees associated with that team. Pledges and donations can be made through the race website.


COURSE: Racers will meet and register at the Lake Matoka Amphitheater on the campus of William & Mary starting at 8:00am. Racers are expected to be at the starting line for the start of the race at 9:00am. The race is a distance of 5k and will go through the campus of William & Mary. View map at www.massey5k.com


DIRECTIONS:


From the West: Follow Norfolk/I-64 E

Take exit 234 for VA-646/VA-199 0.4 mi

Turn right at VA-199 S/VA-646

Continue to follow VA-199 S 7.9 mi

Turn left at Jamestown Rd 1.1 mi

Turn left at Ukrop Dr


From the East: Follow I-64 W to Richmond/Williamsburg

Take exit 242A for VA-199 Williamsburg 5.4 mi

Turn right at Jamestown Rd 1.1 mi

Turn left at Ukrop Dr

Parking: Parking is available at the parking garage next to the Mason School of

Business, Mason School of Business Lot, and Phi Beta Kappa Lot.
